We are still alive...

After a long absence I have finally gotten back on to our blog. Unfortunately our life was completely turned upside down 3 days before Christmas when Natalie started having seizures. It was the scariest thing I've ever been through. In January we had 2 hospitalizations at St. Lukes, and a LONG visit to Seattle Children's Hospital. February was a bit better, we were able to take our trip to Hawaii that had been planned for over a year, Natalie was stable but not much better. March brought a miracle as her seizures stopped. She has now slowly been improving. We went from seeing a happy thriving toddler to her sleeping almost 24 hours a day and having up to 15 seizures per day. She's now seizure free, walking and babbling, not quite yet back to where she should be for almost 2 years old but we are hopeful that she is on the road to recovery. Our life now has more meaning and we have a profound understanding for what really matters in life...healthy kids! We pretty much take it one day at a time...

Halloween, Trip to Reno, and Turkey Day!

It's been a crazy couple of months...I am finally posting Halloween pics (I know, I know) but at least I got them up before Christmas! We had the stomach flu at our house right after Halloween and when one gets it...we all get it, so it took us a while to recover from that.

We traveled to Reno for the BSU game, it was a lot of fun, as always. Go Broncos! Will we get to go to San Diego to see them play in the bowl game?? Not sure on that yet, Dad's still deciding.

After Reno we FINALLY moved in to our new home. We sold our old house (sniffle, sniffle) in August and had been waiting for our new house to be ready, it finally is and we just got settled, we LOVE it. It has much more room than our other house and we are enjoying the space immensely! I will post pics when I actually get around to taking some.

Then came Turkey Day, we had a great time seeing all our family that came to town, we ate too much and had lots to be Thankful for. We played our annual family Turkey Bowl football game and my team lost again, but Ryan got to play in it for the first time so it was very memorable.

My life!

I have been married to my husband Tim for 5 years. We are both BSU alums and still love our Broncos!! We had our wonderful son Ryan Jerome in 2005 and then our gorgeous little girl Natalie Nicole in 2007. I work in clinical research development, a career that I love. I enjoy trying to balance being a full time mommy and a part time career woman. My husband is my life saver- he works at home and does a lot of "daddy day-care", I definitely couldn't do it all without him. We are loving our very blessed life here in Boise.
